Recipes From Restaurants/They Don’t Want You To Know
I always enjoy eating out. Well, to be honest, I’ve always enjoyed eating period. The recipes of restaurants are normally creative, delicious and enjoyable. I would love to be able to cook that way all the time. Unfortunately or fortunately, I have a life and I would like to live it. So if I cook I want it to be something I know my family and I will like. That’s why I try to collect restaurant recipes. But a lot of it is secret.
I’m going to give you a sample of a famous recipe. I hope that you can use it. It’s always comforting to know that you are saving money when you cook and you can get additional assurance in knowing that you don’t have to wait in line to get a table. The recipe I’m going to give you is pretty hush-hush.
I don’t know if I’m suppose to give it out to you. Whatever you do don’t give it to anyone else. I could get into big trouble. Shh–
Barbecued Beef Sandwiches
1 ½ lbs ground beef
¾ cup celery, chopped
¾ cup onion, chipped
½ cup green bell pepper, chopped
1 can tomato sauce
¼ cup ketchup
2 Tbs brown sugar
2 Tbs prepared barbecue sauce
2 Tbs vinegar
1 Tbs prepared mustard
1 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
1 ½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
8 hamburger buns
Brown ground beef in a large skillet, stirring to crumble.
Drain. Add chopped celery, chopped onion, and chopped green bell pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the onion is tender. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, prepared barbecue sauce, vinegar, prepared mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer on low for 1 hour. Serve on hamburger buns.
